Iran is referring to the three nuclear scientists killed in car blasts as "Nuclear Martyrs". In the NAM summit Iran displayed the cars in which the scientists were killed. Iranian officials said that they had decided to adopt this approach because there was hardly any mention in the discourse on global terrorism about Israel’s attempt to derail his country’s peaceful pursuit of nuclear energy through “terrorist means.”
The three scientists were:
